This is an excellent purchase. Plenty of room for a family. We used one side for a king sized air mattress and had plenty of room on the sides to stand and get out of the bed. The other side we used as a sitting/storage/dressing area and had a small table and two camp chairs set up and still had lots of room to move about. The tent was outside for about a week and did experience some pretty heavy rain a couple of days. We only got one small persistent leak in front of the door around the zipper. I did not waterproof the tent prior to using so this tiny puddle was acceptable. One side of the tent had to be readjusted after the rains but that was due to the ground getting soft and making the pole sink in a little too much. There were three of us and a large dog in the tent and never felt crowded. Very well ventilated and never got hot even with a few hot and humid days. Easy set up due to the color coding not the directions. I set up by myself and took about 45min. but would have been much easier with a helper. Very happy with the tent. Would have been nice to see how the remote lights work but they are no longer included with the tent as with the previous model.

I used this for the first time for a camping trip in Vermont. It took myself and my 14 year niece about two minutes to put up. It was so easy that I thought I missed something. It goes down just as quickly. It is very spacious. My nine month daughter loved crawling around inside. It did rain whilst away and inside stayed dry. Although there were a few spots where leaks occurred. These were around the inside pockets and dividers. I've sealed the seams when we got back for extra protections. It also went back into the bag with ease. An excellent tent.

I have been looking for the right tent for many months. I take 12 to 14 people camping at a time so set up and especially take down ease is very important, when providing for that many.I'll need at least 3 more of these instant tents, and look forward to buying them. Allot of bang for the buck. I have not yet waterproofed this tent and was some what worried about the rain. I have yet to go camping, without it raining. I have 5 tents and it was the dryest, with no rainfly, thats really cool. Wind blew hard and I had some fear as to how it would hold up. The tiedowns worked fine. One problem is when you take down the ceiling rods, some seem to stick, what I have so far found out, is if you twist the ceiling rods a little left and right they collaps right away. I don't know about long term how well it will hold up. I'll know next year. Room to walk is great and we actually used 3 twin on one side and they were oversize a little but worked.Any 8 man tent is only a 4 man tent for me with 4 airbeds and room. I can put 5 twins and it actually worked with 2 in the front to walk around.Set up and tear down time is crutial for me. I don't know about the 1 minute thing it seem to take a few to take down and pack:)in closing, this is so far the best tent I have found for a guy like me to have, really do hope they hold up.

If you are the kind of camper who has always considered your old, straight-walled 8X10 to be "pretty large", get one of these. It's more like a hotel room than anything else. If your party is four or less, you'll find room for everybody and all your gear.
You'll also find a tent that's easy to set up. Really. Even the first time. I set it up myself in about 30-35 minutes, including time to figure everything out. With all the numerous, large windows and doors open, it's like having the outside in. In warmer weather, the view of the trees and night sky above is a treat. In colder or wet weather, with the rain fly on and windows adjusted for conditions, it's snug and dry. The ventilation is amazing.

I've camped for many years, first as a Girl Scout and then as an adult. My husband had never camped, let alone in a tent. I took him out in this tent to a National Forest campground in the Shenendoah mountains, and it rained steady for a week. This tent saved the vacation. The middle room served as our dining and rec center, providing ample space for our small camp table where we ate and played cards. The screened porch was a perfect vestibule, and on sunny days it's a great place to relax, nap, read and escape from the bugs. The sleeping room is perfect for two adults and a queen-sized air bed. The middle room will comfortably sleep an entire family, or serve as the "living room", gear room, work room, etc. It has a high ceiling with a loop for hanging a light. The over-cover and Coleman construction make this the driest tent I've ever experienced. After a week of steady rain, not one seep, weep or drip.
